Recipe for Steakhouse Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 Package Aunt Millie's Deli Onion Buns
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • ½ Tbsp. Montreal steak seasoning
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked (your favorite)
  • 8 frozen onion rings, baked
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • Barbecue sauce for topping

Sauteed Mushrooms:

  • 1 c. mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 ½ Tbsp. butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Garlic Aioli:

  • ½ c. mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Yield: 4 Sandwiches

Directions:

  1. Preheat grill over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, garlic, and lemon juice. Taste and add salt and pepper to your preference. Set aside.
  3. Thoroughly mix the ground beef with the steak seasoning. Form the mixture into 4 patties, and grill to desired temperature. Top with two slices of cheese the last few minutes of cooking.
  4. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil and butter in a medium pan. Add mushrooms and cook until browned, about 10-15 minutes. Taste and add salt and pepper to your preference.
  5. Spread each bun with the garlic aioli, then add the cooked burger, mushrooms, bacon, onion rings, and a good drizzle of barbecue sauce.
  6. Serve immediately.
