As the modern diet continues to increasingly rely on pre-packaged goods from food processors, the sodium content in our diets has risen to well beyond the recommended value of less than 2,300 milligrams per day.

While Aunt Millie’s works to minimize the amount of sodium in all of our baked goods, we also offer several products that have a “Reduced Sodium” health claim.  This claim requires that the product contain at least 25% less sodium than the original product.  By incorporating these baked goods into your diet, you can lower your sodium consumption without compromising the taste and flavor of your favorite foods.  With this sodium reduction, you will help ward off the negative effects associated with a high-sodium diet, such as hypertension, heart disease, and stroke.
