The Highest Quality
Aunt Millie’s Food Safety program is designed to deliver high quality and safe bread products. We are a member of the American Institute of Baking (AIB) and are now certified as part of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
All our Bakeries have undergone the most stringent BRC Certification requirements (and continue to rank with the top bakeries in the country). Our Quality and Food Safety Programs are all in accordance with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the American Institute of Baking (AIB) Food Standard for Food Safety, Issue 6 of the BRC Standard, as well as all Food and Drug Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, State, and local Food Safety Standards.
In order to achieve this level of food safety, the management team of each producing plant has received certified Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) training from the AIB. This training is the recommended international code of practice. After this training, each management team develops a HACCP plan specific to their facility. Parts of this plan include supplier approval, allergen control, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), chemical control, sanitation, preventative maintenance, receiving, food defense, internal audit, and other key areas.
These programs are audited by third party inspectors annually. Each plant receives an annual Re- Certification Audit under the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Standard. These audits are comprehensive in scope, covering areas in quality, hygiene, and product safety and legality.
Aunt Millie’s is committed to delivering safe, quality products to all of our customers. Here is a link to all the awards and certifications each one of Our Bakeries has received:
