Aunt’s Day
Aunt’s Day is March 8th, and every year to honor aunts, Aunt Millie’s Bakeries donates 1 cent for every loaf of bread sold during a one month period to a children’s charity. The annual Aunt’s Day program began in 2005.
From 2005 to 2007, Aunt Millie’s Bakeries donated $5,000 to various Fort Wayne, Indiana children’s charities each year.
The tradition will continue in 2010 with a new charity.
Aunt’s Day 2009
For 2009, Aunt Millie’s donated over $40,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation®.
Aunt’s Day 2008
In 2008, Aunt Millie’s donated $25,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in honor of Aunt’s Day.
